2025 WORKSHOPS
Master “The Quick Pitch” – Film/TV
Join us every Saturday for our famous pitching workshop! You’ll learn the basics of pitching, get to practice your pitch and get feedback from others, while also being pitched to (invaluable role play)!
What is a Quick Pitch?
It’s all the essential information your listener needs to know—if that’s all you ever get to say. A strong Quick Pitch delivers clarity, intrigue, and confidence in just a few sentences. Whether you’re pitching a film, TV series, or business idea, this workshop will help you craft and refine your pitch so that it leaves a lasting impact.
What Your Quick Pitch Should Include:
- A compelling title that grabs attention
- The genre to set expectations immediately
- A brief story overview that gets straight to the heart of your project
- Attractive elements (e.g., funding, talent, previous success, awards)
- The origin of your idea—why this story matters
- Why YOU are the best person to tell it
What You’ll Learn in This Workshop:
- Create an exciting, engaging back-and-forth conversation rather than a one-sided monologue
- Learn when to stop talking and let the other person engage
- Answer questions briefly and concisely to keep momentum
- Recognize questions of interest (good) vs. questions of clarity (bad)—so you know if your pitch is landing
- Prevent nervous rambling and stay in control of the conversation
- Be on the other side of the table and learn what it’s like to be pitched TO
- Politely and professionally wrap up your pitch to leave them wanting more
If you struggle with pitching or want to fine-tune your delivery, this hands-on workshop will give you the skills and confidence to nail your next pitch and get people excited about your project.
